Off to the next radiation treatment shortly. I've had a productive morning putting all of my appointments into the computer and letting my fingers go cold. It's somewhere between 0 and -6 today apparently. Cracking. Dutchcloggie bought me a nice blanket for Christmas (with sleeves - image search for 'Slanket' if you're interested) but I haven't managed to take it out of it's bag this morning.

Only yesterday morning I was replying to one of the members blogs that the side affects of Radium get better in time,as yesterday morning I felt well, unfortunatley by the afternoon I felt awful again, not bad this morning but I don't trust it lol.Don't want to bother the Lung nurses got a Dr's appt on the 15th so hoping to hold out till then, was warned that side affects could last up to 2 months,

Hi All my daughter had 5th round of chemo yesterday only one to go. She has been offered a trial drug for when her chemo ends but only a 5o% chance of getting the drug and 50% she will get a fake drug it is hoped it may slow down the growth of her tumours so fingers crossed.

Before I launch into this I thought I'd make a couple of points. Firstly, I know a load of folks out there are a lot sicker than I am and I hope my good news won't weigh heavy on you. Secondly, this is not the first time I've had some good news only for the whole thing to turn sour later and I don't want to temp providence here.

Well I finally went to the Dr's today re my swollen ankles. Gave him the history of health over the last few weeks. He took my temp (fine), blood pressure which was high, but the interesting thing was my pulse that was a racey 160, so he ordered an ECG which showed tachycardia and resting pulse of 103.

Just had my first radiation treatment today. It took a while to check everything but in the end it was quick and painless. It will be quicker tomorrow. Odd having the nurses say "see you tomorrow" and I was like "oh yeah great" because I forgot it was the beginning of a six week slog. They're lovely people but I don't like being there.
